Keep your hands on web pages even after they’re gone…
Have you ever gone back to a website you bookmarked only to find out the page is missing, moved, or just plain broken? If you’d had a way to save the page in its entirety the first time you bookmarked it, you could have avoided the hassle and disappointment. But printing web pages as you visit them is neither practical or particularly good for the environment (or your wallet).
Now you can prevent future “web page rot” by using iCyte.com, a free tool which allows you to save and store pages for reference later, with notations. Features include:
- Save any webpage you like on iCyte’s server, with highlights on the important text, plus notes and tags for quick reference.
- Search and retrieve your Cytes from any computer, even if the original webpages have been deleted or changed.
- E-mail your Cytes, send them to Twitter or Facebook, even embed them in blogs. (Or keep them private - viewable by your invitation only.)
Try it out for yourself:
